This has proved to be a very successful way to appreciate
and assess the unique features of this specialised walking
aid.
Getting hold of a U-Step to trial
Where possible, we will visit your Department and demonstrate
the U-Step, after which, it can be left with you for the trial
period. It is not always possible to arrange a demo in which
case the U-Step can be delivered to you free of charge with
instructions on use and adjustment.
Buying A U-Step
The U-Step can be purchased at any time during or after the
trial by sending a cheque to Attainability UK Ltd for the full
purchase price. We recommend you look into obtaining funding
soon after receiving the walking aid and, to help you with
this, we will provide you with an invoice from the start of
the trial. If your Department decides not to purchase the
U-Step, then your Department is only responsible for returning
the unit (postage, courier or transport back to Attainability
UK Ltd by a member of your department). Sometimes, by agreement with
Attainability UK Ltd, it may be possible to arrange collection
of the unit by a near by department who also wish to trial
the U-Step enabling us to waive the return expense.
Terms of the Free Trial
This is a one-month free trial. If the U-Step is retained
by your department for longer than one month then your Department
will be responsible for paying a rental charge of £10
per week. The absolute maximum period for which the unit can
be borrowed is 2 months.
Attainability UK Ltd reserves the right to apply
a penalty charge to your Department of £30 per week
for any unit kept for longer than 2 months.
Only major Damage to the walking aid while in your care will
be payable by your department.
The unit remains the absolute property of Attainability, unless
& until it has been paid for.
The Free Trial is not open to individuals, but only to departments
where more than one patient can access the unit
